I’m a philosopher and published author teaching in Amsterdam and New York, bridging academic research and public understanding through international talks, podcasts, and publications – from peer-reviewed journals to popular magazines.
What I research
I research epistemic autonomy—our ability to think well, or in the right way. Every time we let AI write our emails, compose our arguments, or filter our reality, we outsource cognitive work. The danger isn’t inefficiency. It’s atrophy. Minds that don’t practice thinking lose the ability to think.
